Sr Oracle DBA
Senior Oracle Application DBA Lead, will be responsible for managing Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3, EPM Cloud, Oracle WebCenter Suite, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Oracle SOA/ADF, OBIEE Applications, Oracle Exadata engineered systems and Oracle Database 19c used by Chicago Public Schools. This position has internal and external responsibilities, ranging from client/business engagement, project. Management (framing of critical approaches, high-quality client delivery, written products), and vendor Management (enterprise financial reporting, budgetary and operational). Senior Oracle Application DBA Lead will also work closely with the Director of EFS to provide sound technical decision-making and guidance to deliver sustainable, high-quality products, leading and managing diverse multicultural, prioritizing. Deliverables to accomplish targeted goals and assure that Service Level Agreements SLA are fulfilled.
Project Development, Management, and Client Relations:
● Structure and lead project teams.
● Build and maintain strong client/business relationships.
● Represent ITS / EFS in industry-group conferences, professional associations, and other public venues.
● Develop an architecture strategy to modernize Oracle/Cloud platforms to achieve the highest resiliency and performance. I need to lead a team of very hardworking and motivated database administrators to support critically important Oracle and Cloud databases, which are critical data assets of the company.
● Share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications.
Operational Support:
● Overall responsibility for supporting and maintaining the following EFS systems:
○ Oracle E-Business Suite (Core Applications)
○ Oracle Business Intelligence
○ Oracle Content Management (WCC)
○ Oracle Identity and Access Management
○ Oracle ADF/SOA
○ EPM Cloud
○ Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Exadata Engineering Systems, and Oracle
Database 19c
○ Support Tools Like OEM, PVCS, FlexDeploy, EDI, Appworx, Password Pro
● Managing staff structure to support systems.
● Responsible for 99.5% uptime and weekly reporting of status.
Strategic Planning:
● Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities.
● Manage increasing segments of ITS/EFS (reviews, staff development, workload balancing) with related internal communications and budgeting/finance duties.
● Mentoring, coaching, visible, approachable sounding board/resource.
Analyzes Business Cases for New Implementations of Technology:
● Communicate with the Director, Deputy Director, and Finance staff on updates on technology, products, and services.
● Researches and recommends technology products, software products, and services supporting ITS /EFS efforts.
● Coordinates feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase and gives advice based on findings.
● Ensures that any new software integration into Oracle EBS, Hyperion EPM, and Oracle FMW products meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
● Cultivates, disseminates, and enforces SDLC policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.
Type of Education Required:
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer field or combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
● 10+ years of hands-on experience as Oracle DBA, Oracle EBS, Oracle FMW Products and Cloud DBA.
● 5+ years of experience in a technical Lead role.
● Experience managing and implementing enterprise-scale, operationally critical databases.
● Strong understanding of database administration best practices, design patterns, and standards.
● Provides leadership for future enterprise Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Integrity requirements.
● Working knowledge or experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard Technology
● Experience migrating On-Prem Oracle Super Cluster to Oracle Cloud @ Customer
● Experience migrating Oracle Cloud @ Customer to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
● Experience Migrating Oracle Fusion Middleware applications like ADF, SOA, and Web Center Suite to
OCC Platforms
● Experience migrating Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud Computing platform.
● Database security management includes audit setup, creating and maintaining database roles, and configuring Transparent Database Encryption and data vaults.
●Setting up Disaster Recovery sites for the complete stack of existing applications, RDBMS instances, ensuring disaster recovery site is in real-timesync with primary and ready for DR Failover at any point in time
● Performing DR switchover every quarter.
● Cloning, patching (CPU, one-off) of Oracle EBS applications and fusion middleware applications.
● Working Experience on OEM 13c.
● Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in DBMS and related Cloud technology
● Provide support in database design and application development.
● Experience on Tools Like OEM, PVCS, Flex Deploy, EDI, Appworx, Password Pro
● Hands-On experience on SQL & PL/SQL, UNIX Shell, TOAD, Quest, SQL Developer
● Experience with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle iAS, and Apache
● Provides thought leadership and management expertise on the architecture, design, development, and implementation of innovative data solutions that address business problems and help achieve strategic goals.
● Partnered with project teams, management, and business partners on data management and database design and provided DBA support accordingly.
